"Personally. I think he had to Die and we had to look like we did all we could to prevent it."

When I said that your comment above scared me...talk about conspiracy....I thought you meant that he was planted here to give us EBOLA so that he had to die or we would find out when he talked

Now "I" feel like a conspiracy nut.  LOL  It did give me a good laugh though.

No....I don't think it is conspiracy, I think it is experience of human nature.

I did not think of the message going back to Liberia if he had been cured.

I see what you are saying.

Looking at the news about Ebolla in Liberia, Sierra Leone, etc;  they are showing people laying in the streets because the hospitals are so full.  I saw people laying in vans, too exhausted/sick to move.  They lay there and no one came out from the hospital because there was no place to put them.

It is a very scary time right now in our country with the  Al Queda/ISIS or the enterovirus, and the Ebola.

Take Care

I hate to come across as a “Conspiracy Nut” but if we would have cured him, we might have sent the wrong message and they start infiltrating us thinking we can cure them and we end up with an epidemic on or hands. Just a thought.

I am reading that  many mistakes were made with Mr Duncan case.
Besides turning him away the first time the EMT people who were sent to pick him up two days later had no protective equipment on.
The daughter had to tell them that they needed protective gear.
The vomit (bodily fluid?) was flushed down the drain?
Unlike others who have gotten Ebola he was not given the drug advised by WHO to try to save him until 5 days after he was admitted to the hospital.

It is almost as if the hospital did not know what to do about him.

I came on here to say that and saw what you you said (R Glass) really scares me to think of that.

Barb, I wondered that as well.  If they had done something the first time he might have made it.
I don't think anyone will ever know the true story of what happened.

I wonder if he'd have made it, if they'd kept him the first time he went to the hospital, instead of sending home with nothing but an antibiotic.

Hope the others that he came in contact with continue to do well.

Better off dead, than spreading it around.

I was kinda hoping for an outbreak, actually.

I've said it before... this planet could use a good colonoscopy. 90% of the human population gone isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Hopefully I'll live, and can dress up like a mailman, and be a one-man, post apocalyptic postman! I think there's a movie that's about that, isn't there?

Or maybe the ice-caps will all melt, cover the earth with water, and some of us will de-volve and grow gills behind our ears, and all of us can sail around the big, endless oceans, and live in small floating communities. I think there's a movie about that, also, but am not certain. What a fun waterworld it would be!

(I keed, i keed;-)

Yeah, it could have been a thousand things as to why I guess. Well so far so good for those who he had contact with. I hope they continue to show no symptoms. They said 8-10 days, and I think its day 10 so that is encouraging.

His health was probably too bad to take a blood transfusion.
