The minimum wage should have reached $21.72 an hour in 2012 if it kept up with increases in worker productivity, according to a study by the Center for Economic and Policy Research.
While advancements in technology have increased the amount of goods and services that can be produced in a set amount of time, wages have remained relatively flat, the study points out.
"I dont think he will win again, or shall I say I certainly hope he doesnt. Hes a pig." We're together on that one!! Though I'm not sure about the win part... in my area, there are a lot of people who think he's just the cat's meow; I guess it's easier for them to overlook his past than it is for some of us.
Unfortunately, the other choice is nothing to write home about either, since he's a "waffler" -- waffles back and forth...
Scott has pledged to spend twice the money he put into the last election (his own), or shall I say the money he made off of medicare fraud.
I dont think he will win again, or shall I say I certainly hope he doesnt. Hes a pig.
"This means that both Scott and legislators have a state budget surplus in excess of $1 billion even after the costs of enrollment growth for schools, Medicaid and other programs."
Florida was one of the first states to opt out of the Medicaid expansion, so I guess with thousands, if not millions, of poor people unable to get medical assistance, they probably "can" put a billion $ into the state's coffers.
As far as unemployment, let's not forget that huge number of people who simply stopped looking for work, or the fact that FL is largely made up of retirees who don't need to look for work.
Nope, you got another one wrong which certainly isn't surprising.
So you tried to buy coke but got talcum powder?
talcum....................powder.
Thank you for the Facts....<3

When the economy has negative growth for 2 consecutive months it is called a recession. The numbers put out today showing growth is because the inflation adjustment used was incorrect to show that growth.
Sorry I don't get the talking points and don't believe this "transparent" White House.
Not sure who told you that... I see unemployment all over the place.
Our state unemployment rate was 6.4% in March vs the national rate of 6.8% - not much difference. That 6.4% was up from the Dec rate of 5.9%. Our rate has to be adjusted seasonally, due to the high influx of winter inhabitants.
FL has a minimum wage of $7.93... I guess you'd say that's the job killer?
Guess what the ECONOMY IS IN A RECESSION AGAIN.
lol, okay. Obviously you have not watched the news this am?
Yes vance, facts hurt when you actually take time to find the truth, some with narrow vision have a willful ignorance on the truth and facts.
He has done a great job in lowering the unemployment rate.
Don't put FL in that bunch .... our governor stinks!!
Reid is not bringing not just jobs bills but any bills republicans want a vote on to the floor.
And the jobs bills you refer to are junk. All it was, was a way to spend $. Had nothing to do with actual jobs. Look at state by state job growth and look at who the governor of the states are. FL, TX, Wisconsin, LA...REPUBLICANS with conservative principles.
Guess what the ECONOMY IS IN A RECESSION AGAIN. But some how I know you will blame Bush and the republicans.
Yes desrt facts hurt when you actually take time to find the truth, but the left have a willful ignorance on the truth and facts.
Ouch.
Facts.
Head hurts.
Stop confusing us.
And Reid wont bring jobs bills to the floor vance?
Your concern about jobs is appreciated. Please write your elected officials in the Republican party and tell them to stop blocking jobs bills. Thank you.

President Barack Obama on Wednesday formally signed an executive order raising the pay for employees of federal contract workers, but his attention was on a push for Congress to do the same for all Americans.

The push that was blocked in this article , is the push for everyone else, he already used executive privilege for federal employees.
Stop the insults and don't get personal...
I understand what dribble you wrote, but the willful ignorance you show deems anything you write irrelevant.
Went right over your head did it? Why am I not surprised. Nevermind.
How do you know what Walmart pays? And without Walmart how many more people are unemployed depending on only the government to live?
I LOVE BIASED SITES THAT CLAIM THEY ARE "TRUTHFUL".
And as far as that threat of inflation if you raise the min wage?
