Puppy rapist gets 5 years in prison
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — A man convicted of fondling and raping his 8-month-old pit bull puppy will spend five years in a state prison, according to the Florida State Attorney's Office.
James Guy Bull, 62, of Daytona Beach, Fla., pleaded guilty to two counts of felony cruelty to animals, misdemeanor animal cruelty charges and misdemeanor sexual activities involving animals, prosecutors said. He was to face trial on the charges.
"The facts of this case are incomprehensible and vile," State Attorney R.J. Larizza said after the sentence was handed down Friday. "The defendant's abuse of the helpless dog shocks the collective conscience of the citizens of the Seventh Circuit and beyond."
On March 18, two of Bull's neighbors came forward, claiming they had seen him fondling the dog's private parts on several occasions, despite cries and yelps from the animal named Coco.
At one point, a neighbor was walking near Bull's apartment when he reportedly caught him in the act of having sex with the dog, prosecutors said.
"When (Bull) saw (him), he pulled up his pants and put the dog down," court records show.
When police arrived at Bull's home, they said they found the small "clearly emaciated" dog chained to a post on the front porch.
"She had about 8 inches of free reign, no water, no shelter and no food for her," an affidavit said. The dog showed signs of physical sexual abuse and was "skittish and obviously afraid."
The dog, now named Rose, is safe in the custody of an animal rescue group.

Unfortunately, we can't give this guy the death penalty, thus removing his gene's from the pool. Just think... he could procreate and pass along his colorful tendencies, to his offspring.

I don't watch local news, ever. It's nothing but drunk-drivers killing people, rapists, child-molesters, missing persons, gang-violence and murders, with a splash of local weather forecast (which is wrong 95% of the time anyway) and dirty restaurants you should avoid.
World news? I've been watching OANN (One America News Network) lately, and it seems fairly comprehensive & balanced, with minimal murder & gang-violence.

California teens arrested in 920 chicken deaths
FRESNO, Calif. — Deputies in central California have arrested four people — one adult and three juveniles — who are suspected of breaking into a Foster Farms chicken ranch and killing more than 900 birds with a golf club.
Fresno County sheriff's officials acting on several tips Wednesday tracked down 18-year-old Gabriel Quintero of Riverdale. Also taken into custody were two juvenile males, ages 15 and 17, from Caruthers, and a third juvenile male, age 17, from Lemoore. All have been booked on charges of burglary and felony cruelty to animals.
It wasn't immediately known if the suspects have attorneys.
Investigators say the suspects pulled back a fence Sept. 20 to gain access to a shed south of Fresno and massacred 920 chickens with a golf club and possibly another blunt instrument.

A couple of months ago, a friend told me she hasn’t watched the News in almost a year, and she no longer sees the entire world as evil. I accused her of living her life with her head buried in the sand. I’m starting to reassess my judgment.
