Sad that there are so many tiny forgotten spots here and there who dont make the news.
Vt. is in terrible shape, but there are small places...some we havent heard of yet...forgotten.
I have heard people say that Hurricane Irene was totally overblown because it had been downgraded to a Cat one. I think the death toll is in the 40's now. A cat one can do major major damage in places that are not used to getting them at all. Here on the coast we have hurricane shutters and everything is hurricane enforced, but if its even a Cat one and is packing storm surge, we evacuate and I am only a couple of miles from the ocean. Unless they keep this in the media, lots of these people may never get the help they need. Im not sure Joplin ever got what they needed either. And another storm is on the Horizon. I will never forget the hurricanes of 04. It is simply unbelieveable what nature can do. My heart goes out to all of them.
I am from RI an I can tell you first hand that Irene did a number on our tiny little state......
