Woman Sentenced In Deadly Attack On Daughters Transferred To Prison

HILLSBORO (May 26, 2010)--Debra Jeter, 33, who was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole Tuesday, can be heard on a 911 dispatch tape released Wednesday imploring the operator to speed an ambulance to the abandoned house in Hill County where she used a knife in an attack that left her younger daughter dead and her older daughter badly wounded.

“  I personally believe that if the death penalty is ever deserved, this would be a no brainer for it.  She doesn't deserve the chance to walk free ever again.  Personally, I don't believe she has the right to breathe at all.  She cold bloodedly killed her own child and viciously attacked the other.  This deserves death penalty.”

I think we are going to get along just fine.

I think some people are pure evil and we make excuses for them by pinning a label on them. I think this woman is one of those. Just horrible!

It is heartbreaking.  It makes you think about what is happening in the world and where our focus is.  It brings up the questions of how to protect children when you become aware that there are problems.  I broke into tears listening to the call.  What a horrible way for a life to end and for the remaining child, to know what was done.

It seems that we are stretched beyond our abilities to deal with all that is going on in the world.  We can only keep doing what we can to inform, motivate, encourage and help others to deal with things before this kind of tragedy happens.

I heard that tape.  She was so unemotional and matter of fact.  She never showed any remorse for her atrocity.  She planned it, executed it and then made sure the world knew she did it.  I heard that she was angry at her husband because he filed for divorce. (No small wonder.  He was married to a sociopath.).  I don't know why she even bothered to call 911.  The tape made my blood run cold.

The girls were so cute.  They were honor students and girl scouts.  I can only imagine the trauma the surviving teen is going through.

Prior to this, she had apparently been diagnosed as a borderline personality with suicidal tendencies.  A judge apparently this made for a fine parent because he gave her unsupervised visitation.  The father had custody.

In Texas, there is no such thing as life without parole in reality.  She could get out.  I don't know why the DA in Ellis county would make this plea bargain agreement.  Perhaps out of concern for the surviving child.  I personally believe that if the death penalty is ever deserved, this would be a no brainer for it.  She doesn't deserve the chance to walk free ever again.  Personally, I don't believe she has the right to breathe at all.  She cold bloodedly killed her own child and viciously attacked the other.  This deserves death penalty.
