mayo clinic denying medicaid

I just read that the Mayo Clinic in Arizonia is denying medicaid patients due to low reimbursments.  They have to pay cash.

Any thoughts?

Being a recipient of that (through the Medicaid Buy in for Working People with Disabilities where you have to work to recieve it and pay a premium, unfortunately not all states have this option) I would say this is wrong. However, the reimbursements should be at a level that would fairly compensant hospitals, doctors and clinics. Its understood that Medicaid would cover standard clinics and other places that are lower in cost first. But the Mayo Clinic being a well known facility that sometimes treats people with conditions that otherwise untreatable or unknown is at those times neccessary. The Medicaid reimbursements should be higher but I know that the money comes from taxpayers. I would say the Medicaid Buy in should be available in all states because there when people are over the limit due to their benefits level or other reasons it becomes a paid form of insurance just like any other. There should be some workable solution.
