Swine Flu Rears Its Ugly Head Again...

In the last few weeks, 80 cases of swine flu have been reported in Georgia. It is spring break, family vacation time and people are traveling, visiting etc. Is this round two we have heard so much about or just an isolated incident? What say you?

We've had it show up around here again as well, although so far it's just a few cases and they don't seem as serious as last fall/winter.  I am just glad I was vaccinated and my little man has some protection from me (I was vaccinated while pregnant with him).  We are supposed to fly to Ontario in a few weeks, so I am a bit nervous and am watching to see if it gets more serious.

The Vets are pretty good. Same medicine! Just alot cheaper! lol The last time I went to the doctor, I had pneumonia and bout died from it cause I let it go so long! The doctor yelled at me and I asked if he was gonna treat me for free! Gave me some antibiotics and a week or so later I was some better but it did some damage to the lungs having it that long with no treatment. So yeah I know what ya mean..

Magi and I are so desperate for some health care we go to the Vet's.  LMAO

Yeah it's a tummy one, supposedly both ends with high fever. It really puts ya down for a few days.   (as Mary puts on her gloves and mask)

No I had not heard! What kindof virus, tummy? Thats all I need is to get sick and not be able to work! At least I work with disinfectants, I guess that is a good thing, but everyone has family here now and if something is going to take hold, the time is now!

Could be round 2, or people may be slacking off on the prevention measures (washing hands etc.)
Have you heard about the bad virus running rampant in Florida? One of our Vets had it for a week and lost 15 lbs. (I wouldn't be so lucky to loose the weight if I got it) It's supposedly so contagious, that if you just smell the vomit, you'll get the virus. (gross)
