Trump's Second Impeachment

Trump is the first US president to be impeached twice. What questions do you have?

The House has just voted to impeach President Trump for the second time – making him the only US president to ever be impeached twice.

The impeachment resolution the House voted on, which passed 232 to 197, charges Trump with a single article, “incitement of insurrection” for his role in last week’s deadly Capitol riot.

CNN’s Zach Wolf is answering your questions on what happens next. Post them in the link below.

This is a full year old. I would love for Trump to drive off to oblivion.  Worst thing to happen to the Republican party and he just will not go away. I have seen some minor signs that his shine is dimming on the conservatives.  His ego will fight that, I'm sure.  I think he is a corrupt, awful person to be honest.  I wish he was fully impeached.  And am saddened by Washington Republicans in office refusing to take a stand to this day against him.

Yes, it is a full year old.  I’m totally with you on the wish for Trump to drive into oblivion - or maybe “driven off” along with some of his, so-called, friends.   He was the worst thing to happen to the Republican Party and he’s really not even a Republican (so I’ve read).

I’ve read numerous articles that say his influence isn’t so strong, but then we see evidence showing otherwise, so it’s hard to tell.

I totally agree that he’s corrupt and every day am reading articles about things he did that we didn’t know about at the time… the current issue is that he shredded (or flushed) Presidential records, plus took boxes of records with him to Mar-a-Lago, even though the law says he can’t do that.

I’m also very disappointed in those Republicans that continue to go along with the idea that the election was stolen and all the other propaganda Trump and his followers have put out.

I keep telling myself that there will be enough “decent” Republicans that will eventually take a stand against him, but that’s looking pretty grim, at this point.

It’s pretty sad that someone who did what he did would actually be allowed to run for President again.
I think the Donald fibbed about things to make himself the Republican candidate. Like pro life. He used to say he was pro choice. But you can't be pro choice and be Republican I guess (well, in terms of getting elected. ). I agree that allowing him to run again is awful.  I hope he can't.  But I read an article that he could still torture us. He could take a sear in congress or the senate and . . . brace yourself . . . become speaker. Or Majority leader. Lord help us.
