As you all probably know Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are trying to block Rush Limbaughs bid to buy the Rams.
I do get tired of the drama at this point that Al and Jesse seem to always cause.

Did you see how many votes Hillary got? Hillary simply ran a terrible campaign and Obama ran a brilliant one. That's why she lost - it had nothing to do with her being a woman. The idea that the voters weren't ready for a woman but they were ready for a black man is just preposterous.
And Palin for President - she couldn't even answer a simple question - what newspapers she read, what Supreme Court decisions she disagreed with or whether she approved of the Bush Doctrine - the Bush Doctrine - what do you mean by that Charley? Uh well, uh like uh PREVENTIVE WAR!!!!!
Right - she was qualified. She even quit being governor.

I thought Hillary might be a good candidate for President until she started talking about the sniper fire she and her daughter were under in Bosnia. She lost my support over that because I thought she was lying. Not ready for a woman? Give me a break. The fact that an idea so blatantly unsupportable is in your mind confirms every suspicion I have had about you.

I like what you say. I don't agree with it all. But I can see that you do follow things that you believe but I think if you see things you don't feel are right you would have no problem changing mid-stream. And that's a good quality as far as I am concerned. Yeah Acorn, what a mess. And btw, I love Michael Savage.:o) Very interesting guy. He's witty and very bright and has led a very interesting life. I like his type of personality. Not everybody would, but I do.
I honeslty think we need a party that is no longer serving themselves, but the people! I hope Sarah is successful in forming a new party and that if that is her intention that many of us look at what we have in common, i.e., love of our country, freedom, being wholesome, having values and standing by the constitution. Whether you like Sarah Palin or not, it's my opinion that someone has to come forward and make the other two parties nervous! It's time they stopped the political games and start serving US!
Its essential to seperate what is being said and what political direction it comes from than the way its expressed. I totally agree about Al Sharpton but I did from the beginning. He expressed himself in a hateful ignorant way and I have respect for the man. Jesse Jackson has an agenda of his own which I don't respect either. I can't say I respect Rush Limbaugh but no true journalist should turn an interview into a shouting match. Michael Savage took it one step further. I do think journalism and entertainment should not be mixed. If there is an interview with a politician they should be treated with respect. On the other hand, I did respect the political commentator William Safire despite the fact that I am not conservative. He expressed his viewpoints in an intelligent, respectfully worded manner. One can't tune out every commentator one disagrees with because then one is only getting half of the story. There is always a political spin on either side.
I was pretty shocked about the news about ACORN as I am a supporter of affordable housing but then again corruption can come from any direction. I should not be surprised by that.

Lou Dobs is creepy. I used to watch his show every single day for at least 2 years. And,then I saw him in a different light and now I cannot stand to look at the guy. At one point I wanted him to run for President so you can see how much I thought of him.

Yes, I totally agree with you in that I felt the he HAS gotten hung up on himself.. Thats when I started to just listen occasionally instead of daily. I don't feel that Conservatives just follow someone just because they too might have Conservative views. I never was a crowd 'follower' in any area of my life.... I used to like O'Reilly and now I don't care for him that much either. Lou Dobbs is the best as far as I am concerned. He seems very real and looks for truth. He's good!

It's all about money myown. Certainly you know that by now. And Rush got a lot of publicity from this so he'll prosper financially from being dropped. He'' have a great audience listening to his take on being dropped from the group. Not me though.

It's true that many of Rush's statements are taken out of context (a lot of time he's trying to make a point). But, I honestly had to stop listening to him. He's too radical in his thinking for my taste. He's a nice enough person - I've heard that from people who know him. But, I can only take him in small doses. I personally feel he has gotten hung up on himself. But, that's just my opinion.
If Rush was buying the team with others (as mentioned in Mike's post above), then I don't feel anyone has a right to stop him. From what I've heard, he really likes football and the players. If his partners don't want him there, then I guess he's out of luck on this one.
I agree that people need to stop with the race cards - but it's both sides who keep egging it on. It makes me angry when I heard racial comments from anyone whether I agree with them on a political level or not. It's just disgusting and shows a lack of class.
