So I went through everything that you told me and I did the math from scratch turns out it was a day off I actually had my period on the 24th and it is the first guy and your correct about the days, I can actually say that I got prego January 10th for sure.. thank you so much for the help
Chrissy, if it is impossible to wait and have the baby and get a DNA test, then you should go ask your doctor why there is a discrepancy between what you saw on the screen in your 14th week ultrasound and what the person wrote on the report. Nobody on the Internet can hope to guess why that happened. (The doctor might not even be able to.) Get the DNA test with your ex boyfriend just to stop worrying, but it just does not sound like even the longest stretch of the dates that you have been naming (which would be 14 weeks 6 days) puts him in the running.
I wasn't concerned about my exbf at all until recently goin through my ultrasounds n I saw that there was two different weeks on them which are 14 weeks 6days 13 weeks days but on the paper she wrote down 14 weeks 3days but y I say I was probably late is because my body was on over drive working crazy hrs n doing ot at Macy's because its holiday time n I was always on the go.. this has happened to me before where my body was stressed out which I didn't knw could happen n I didn't get my period for 2 months straight n now this time I jus actually ended up pregnant n got myself into this kind of mess.. do u think all of that could also be factored in
The two estimations that I got was the 14 weeks and 6 days (but wrote down 14 days n 3 days) and 13 weeks n 5 days is the other
if the first day of your last period was December 23, on April 4 counting just from that information (and not from the size of the fetus), you would have been 14 weeks, 5 days pregnant. (You can count this out on a calendar to check my work.) If you got two different estimates on April 4, one that said 14 weeks 6 days and one that said 14 weeks 3 days, you will really have to take the report to the doctor to see which one (if either) was based on the actual measurements of the fetus.
However, an ultrasound in your 14th week is going to have a margin for error of a week. This does not mean it *will* be a week off, it could be exactly spot on. But it *could" be a week off, if the baby grows faster or slower than normal.
If your ultrasound were spot on (which unfortunately due to it being in the 14th week, there is no guarantee), the conception calculator gives a range of January 2 to January 10 for when you might have conceived.
The only thing I can suggest from all of this is that the baby would have to be quite a bit off average in growth rate, for the date of conception to stretch all the way to the 18th.
In your shoes, I would not be wildly concerned about the guy on the 18th, since you have regular periods and nothing much about the dating suggests you got pregnant that late. However, that said I would still definitely get a DNA test when the baby is born just to rule out the unlikely and to know for sure.
My very first doctors visit to see the midwife was on March 20th but my very first ultrasound wasn't until the 4/4
On March 20, did you have an ultrasound, or was that not until April 4?
Not too sure but my first official doctors appt was March 20th 2013
And when was the due date of September 29 given to you?
Yes I am in the U.S but no it doesn't say that.
Does either of them say an estimated due date? (Look for the abbreviation EDD if you are in the U.S.)
Ok so the sonos that I took on 4/4/13 one does say 14 weeks n 6 days( but on the paper she put 14 weeks n 3 days) then on the other sono taken the same day it says 13 weeks and 5 days.. this is I believe that it could be any one of them..
When I unpack I'll let you knw the other week it said
I was entering into my fourth month when I got my first sono.. which I dif say was on 4/4/13 when she printed them out n gave them to me I didn't really tale a good look at what was on it until I got home.. Im in the process of moving right now so they're packed away at the moment.. the other day when I Iwas going through them two of the sonos had different weeks on them but yhey were taken on the same day one for sure I knw said 14 weeks but the other one said a different week on do im a bit confused about how that's possible
Hi, Chrissy,
When you get the ultrasound report from the very earliest one you had, please see where it says gestational age or GA, and find out what it says (this number will be in weeks and days), and the estimated due date or EDD. Just say what they say on the report. I'm having a little trouble sorting out what the doctor told you from your interpretations. For example, you said one said this date and the other said either this or that date, and that 'they did it based off my LMP.' Ultrasounds don't take the last period that you report and compute it into their figuring, they compute an assumed first day of the last period based on the size of the baby. Just say when your first ultrasound was (I think you originally said it was 4/4?) and what the EDD was and what the GA was.
The farther along you are when doing a sono the less acurate it will be. Your very first sono is going to be the most accurate. so go with that one. I can give you to much advice but from the sounds of it, it is most likely the first guy
Another reason why I say that its not accurate is because on the day of my first sono one said 14 weeks n the other one said another week which was either 13 weeks r 15 weeks this is on n its puzzling me as to y when they were bboth takin on the same day please explain that to thats y its not adding up to me.. now im second guessing myself im going through everything.. I don't have the sonos with me at the moment because im not home but ill let u knw the exact week of the other one
They were both unprotected
Ok I get what your saying now, the window that I keep getting is Jan 3-8, but im not really sure when I ovulated.. it could have been on time and it could have been late thats my concern because I knw ultrasounds are not always accurate because the same people that did my ultrasound did my bf n they gave her two different dates a week apart, and they did it based off of my last LMP and they add the weeks frm then.. it was the 17 not the 18th I jus want to be sure is all
Calculators don't say *you* are fertile from date x to date y. They say the possible window of conception is from date x to date y. That is partly to allow for the fact that some women will only have later (less accurate) ultrasounds to use for trying to compute their due date, and especially because of the long life of sperm in the woman's system.
Say a calculator said your most likely or most probable date of conception was the 1st of the month. Having unprotected sex on the 25th *could* get you pregnant even if you ovulated on the 1st. The fertile window has to allow for that, but it is not saying you are fertile on the 25th. It's saying that sperm in a woman's body lives a while.
I would like to see a calculator be created that adds what week it was when the woman got her ultrasound, since that is an important piece of data. (The earlier in the pregnancy, the better, and the later in the pregnancy, the more days +/- it would have to add.)
The conception calculator I used gives you a range of the 3rd to the 10th for conception. It's hard to imagine a calculator giving you a date that includes the 18th.
My period was suppose to come in the early ,20s of January
I was so sure about the guy I was dating now im jus confused and lost, with a lot of doubt.. im not sure what to believe at this point, I was jus going through the trackers the other day n the date jus didn't sit right with me.. I started crying because I knw the type of situation I put my unborn son in.. this is my first child by the way
To my understanding they start counting frm my last LMP right?.. but what im not understanding is y is it saying that I conceived on the 6th but I was fertile frm the 3-8.. thats what all the conception calculators are all saying and I apologize he was the 17th.. I've been using multiple apps and online calculators and thats what they're all saying.. then I started doing a little research on my own, I try finding the most scientific ones as possible and most say that it can be 50/50 at this point, im jus really confused because looking at all the factors weren't adding up to me thats doubting guy I was dating
