Help My DNA Test Doesn't Show A Specific Race

I took an Ancestry.com DNA test, I am part Chinese (maybe 5% - 20% on my mothers side), I've know this for most of my life and it's something I've taken pride in, my Asian traits are well defined, I even have Asian eyes, and other Asian traits that I am immediately recognized for as part Asian by other Asian people, however my DNA test did not show Any Asian countries, the closest asian Ancestry was Native America and West Asia however west Asia is not Southeast Asian. Where is my Chinese Decent? After taking the Ancestry exam, one of my cousins who is part Asian also (and her last name is an Asian name) even reached out to me on Ancestry. Where is my Southeast Asian ancestry?

This was my breakdown
Africa 79%
Nigeria 40%
Ivory Coast/Ghana 24%
Africa Southeastern Bantu 11%
Trace Regions 4%
America 1%
Trace Regions 1%
Europe 19%
Scandinavia 12%
Trace Regions 7%
West Asia < 1%

In your shoes, I would write to them and ask if they could re-check and be sure your test did not get mis-handled or confused with someone else's.  Tell them what you have said above (except where you say "Chinese Decent," the word is "descent,") and ask that they take seriously your request for the work to be checked.  I am sure that any lab will sometimes make mistakes.

Also, talk to your relatives and ask what they know of your heritage.  You might be surprised by what they say.  You can also do a lot of work yourself to trace your lineage.  It does not have to be from DNA tests.
