But as far as a DNA test, if you want to do it for child support, go to your local csea give them a name, photo and last known address if he has other children they will already have his info. He will HAVE to show up for DNA rest, then once results come back you both will have to go to court. If he's not going to be there to support his child, he needs to pay to help support. Hi, Emmy, last time you were writing, you were asking if you could keep this guy off the child's birth certificate because he's kind of a bad actor and has a worse girlfriend, troubles with the law, etc.; you thought his mom was behind some of the text messages you were getting saying he wanted to be involved; and you were going to talk to a lawyer about getting him to sign off his rights. Did you ever do any of that? The simplest way to keep him out of your life is not to do a paternity test, but you sound like you're considering it. What has changed?
