Paternity

Im wondering if my fiancee is the father of my baby. Im not sure of my LMP but my fiancee who usually keeps track of my periods said it was March 7. Anywy, i had unprotected intercours with him april 6. On 13 april, i met up with my ex who penetrated me for less than 10seconds, and he did no ejaculate in me. i later found out i ws pregnant and the first ultrasound said my edd is 4 Jan. Using the edd, i calculated my conception date to be 14april, but my prblm with this is that tht wud mean my LMP ws march 30, and i knw that i did not hav my period then.

Is it possilb for my fiancee to be the father, could the ultrasound be innacurate? im really worried that this could be my ex's baby.

Thank you so much for your response. I was hoping it would be clear cut, but i guess i have no option but to do a dna test. Once again, thanks. The upside of this is that my fiancee hasnt been completely ruled out as being the father.

Thanks again

Here's the main point when trying to answer that question -  your ultrasound is not an early enough ultrasound to be absolutely reliable to be correct to the day, though it could be.  I have heard some doctors say a ninth-week ultrasound could be plus or minus a week, though that is a pretty conservative statement.  It could be off by a day, two days, a few days.

Given that, here is how things shake out.
- Your fiance ejaculated in your body but he is not in the right time window, according to the ultrasound (that might or might not be precise).  Sperm can live maybe 5 or 6 days in your body.
- Your ex didn't penetrate you for very long and did not ejaculate, but he is right in the middle of the time window according to the ultrasound (that might or might not be precise).  If your ex had ejaculated recently before penetrating you, his pre-ejaculatory fluid could have contained sperm.

Unfortunately, this means you will not be able to tell which guy it is until you have a DNA test.  You are going to need to find a way to get a DNA test once the baby is born, it is only fair.  It is your business whether you tell your fiance or simply test with the ex, but please do keep in mind that secrets like this don't keep very well, and if your fiance learns it after a whole lot of time has passed, that will be worse than if he learns it as soon as you figure out there is a problem.  I'm sorry there is not clearer news for you.

I last had intercourse with my fiancee on April 6, then the next time was April 15 and april 16, going forward.

is the liklihood that he is the father and not my ex, or God forbid, is it the other way around?

No, not considered a sign of pregnancy.

Out of curiosity, is a flu/cold a symptom or sign of pregnancy. Cos i had a really bad cold around the 10th of April.

When using a 9th week ultrasound for dating purposes, most doctors will say plus or minus a couple of days or more.  The conception calculator I use says your range of possible dates for conception is April 9 to 17.  Did you have sex with your fiance during that time range, or only with your ex?

At what point in the pregnancy did you have the ultrasound that gave you the EDD of January 4?  If it was earlier than about 8 weeks gestational age, the EDD will be useful in trying to assess when you conceived, but if it is from further along (say, after your 12th week) it will not be very precise.
