Did I have a blood clot?

Let me tell you all my story. So last week Monday Feb 26-Wednesday Feb 28 I was out of town for school. Only an hour drive from home. On my trip for school we ate seafood both nights and raw oysters Tuesday night. Woke up a Wednesday and both my ankles and the top of my feet were swollen. Didnt think too much about it. When I got home Wednesday evening I noticed my ankles were pretty swollen, my husband and son agreed. A friend that is a nurse said to check my blood pressure, I did and it was normal. She said it was probably all the salt intake I had, I agreed and went to sleep. Woke up and they were still swollen, went to work and by 10 am I felt my left calf area to be more swollen. Left work immediately and went to the dr. I had no pain anywhere in my body at all, just swollen ankles and part or my left calf. He said maybe a blood clot, but I would have pain. He sent me for an ultrasound and it came back negative no blood clots. The next day he wanted me to take a D-Dimer test. He calls and said mine was high at 264 and the cut off is 230. Again still no pain and swelling is completely gone.  He said I needed to be admitted to the hospital immediately and start on blood thinners. I couldn’t believe it. Got to the hospital and my nurse friens said that was just slightly elevated as well as the nurse at the hospital.   I ask to leave he says yes but needs to see me Monday first thing in the morning, which is two days later. I go in and he feels my abdomen and says I am good, but I need to see a blood specialist so she can explain why the d dimer was so high. I leave just terrified something is wrong with me. I go to see my gyno because I am scared to start my period on blood thinners. I tell him the entire story and he is just baffled and says that d dimer test doesnt mean anything, it isn’t specific. He then calls a hematologist and he says nothing is wrong with me and stop the blood thinners immediately. He also said to find a new dr. Any input?? Gyno said I had no evidence of a blood  clot. Help please
