Abcess on tooth #30 front molar. Okay to wait two weeks?

I went to dentist because there was a small bump under my #30 molar but not a lot of pain (previously had RCT treatment 8 yrs ago) -- it only bothered me when I bit into food. She said tooth got reinfected - probably chronic abscess so I'm deciding to get the tooth extracted altogether by an oral surgeon but I can't do it till the end of the month.

I was put on antibiotics for a week which ends this Saturday so I'm wondering if the infection will spread to the roots of my other teeth in the next 2 weeks while I'm of meds and wait for my scheduled appt?

Ive attached my xray of the infection.

Probably not.  It is a large infection though.  Its quite extensive.
