Thank you so much for your response. I guess it would be better to get the three implants and a four pontic bridge then. I was hoping to get away with less implants in the #8 or 9 position. I'm afraid of the cosmetic look with an implant right in the front, but worried about crowning the canines all together in the bridge, too. Especially if a repair on the bridge was needed or the canines had a problem.

The critical issue is cosmetic result in your condition. If you have long upper lip, the cosmetic result may be acceptable. If you are not sure what I am saying, you may need to consult your restorative dentist , he/she can give you the idea what the final restoration would look like. Implant is very rigid, and natural teeth have physiologic movement.Generally, splinting of an implant and natural teeth is not an ideal situation.However, sometimes we may compromise to suboptimal situation, if specific condition dictates.
