Bleeding Gums

My gums have been bleeding after brushing and flossing for about 6 months, and its getting worse.  I take excellent care of my teeth, and my dentist tells me after a recent visit that I have no signs of gingivitis or dental disease. I have minimal tartar, and I see a dentist regularly. At his request, I had a number of blood tests, all of which came back completely normal (CBC, INR, AST, White Blood Cell Differential).  What Next?  Are there other blood tests I should consider?  If i have "beautiful, almost perfect teeth" (my dentist's words), is there any use in seeing a periodontist or oral pathologist?  All dental costs are out of pocket for me, so I want to avoid unnecessary exams.  I am a 47 year old male, in excellent physical health with regular exercise (cardio at least 40 minutes 3x a week), on no medications, have no underlying medical conditions of which I am aware, have no bruising or rashes or fatigue, have a healthy diet and take supplemental multivitamins several times a week.  Still, I'm spitting mouthfuls of blood every time I brush.

I don't know if your male or female but if you are female. I can tell you  that your hormones will make your gums bleed. If your not a female ,  hormones also?? I know my gums used to bleed when I was under stress or hormones acting out. Also dont' brush hard ..its really bad for your teeth. My husband brushes his teeth too hard it makes me hurt!!!

Are you using a stiff brush and brushing too vigorusly?  If so, you could be irritating your gums.  I have never heard of this, and this is all I can come up with.  Good luck to you.
