Greetings, hoping for some help here. Last year, I had a white gold crown placed on a back molar of mine after a tooth chipped around a filling. After the crown was placed, I had some weird feelings in my head... feelings like I was going to black out. I continue to have those feelings. About a month later, I suddenly became afraid of heights as well... and I never was (been at edge of grand canyon, on top of san jacinto mountain, etc.)
A few months later, I had a root canal done on the tooth next to my crown due to deep decay that was found. Root canal was done, white gold crown was put on, etc. Somehow, during this time, I developed tinnitus in my ears and it never went away. I also continued to struggle with some sort of imbalance in my head and body, in particular when sitting but still with heights... and going up escalators makes me feel like I'm going to fall backwards.
I saw a new dentist recently, who studied holistic denistry... I told him about all of this and he suggested that the bite on my crowns were not adjusted properly, which could cause me a range of symptoms. He also said that since I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed, the crowns on the bottom right were causing the imbalance with the removed wisdom tooth on the bottom left and causing a weakness which could be leading to my symptoms. Especially since it feels like at times my head is going to roll off my shoulders. He made a few suggestions and wanted me to go the cheapest route possible to try and fix it, but also said if I wanted a guaranteed fix.. he would have to remove the crowns, refit me for new ones (some special porcealin ones he now gets) and the adjust the bite properly, etc.
Is any of this possible? I've seen an ENT who said it was a form of Meniere's but I know there is an underlying cause. I was going to PT for neck and upper back pain too when this occurred but my symptoms came about after the dental work so I suspect this is underlying cause -- FYI blood tests, brain MRI, chiropractors, etc showed and did nothing for these symptom.
