Cavity on crown?

I just had a tooth extracted, and the tooth next to it has a crown. I appears that there is a cavity on the side of the crown. Is this possible with crowns?

it is possible to get a cavity on the tooth not the crown. so if what you see is on the tooth i bet it is! id have it checked out.
