Dental Injections for heart patients

Hello, My sister needs extensive dental work i.e. root canals and fillings and crowns.  She is a heart patient and we are wondering if Lidocaine, EPI, or any of the 'caines' are safe for dental work in heart patients?  We do not want to start an arrythmia attack.  Any safe meds?  Thanks much.

Please tell us WHICH caines are safe for heart patients. Please be specific.I too have had a bad reaction to Lidocaine and Meprivacaine, both without any Ephineprine and must find something that I can handle before an extraction which is scheduled in just two weeks. My doctors and allergist are not clear on what would be safe to use since I have a problem with P.V.C.s and such.My allergist said that any of the caines will probably bring on more P.V.C.s but he also said that they arn't necessarily dangerous, but I would rather not get them since I tend to get over 100 a day whenever I take something that disagrees with me.Can you find something that is guaranteed NOT to bring on the P.V.C.s I would hate to get them right in the middle of oral surgery..I might freak out.

Your dentist should consult with the cardiologist before any treatment. Thereare many caine drugs that can be used that are long lasting and safe.
