Dental bridge issues, terrified of severe infecfion

So I've had a temporary bridge for almost exactly a year now, and didn't have any problems with it until last month. The bridge spans my front 6 teeth. One morning I woke up and realized I was in a lot of pain, and looked in the mirror only to find that my entire lip and left cheek were swollen. I went to an urgent care doctor and he gave me Benadryl and sent me on my merry way, and told me that it didn't look infected at all and that I had no fever. This was in July, and after that I didn't have the problem again. Fast forward to yesterday, and I have the pain all over again. Woke up this morning to a swollen lip and right cheek. It still doesn't really look infected (as far as I know) and there's no pus that I can see or anything, but my gum does look pretty irritated. I've felt pretty sick for about 3 days now (very weak, no appetite, very anxious) and I just thought it was because I was stressed and because I just started my period today but after reading online I'm terrified that I have some kind of infection that spread into the "triangle of death" zone on my face and is making me very ill. I've yet to vomit (I'm vomit phobic) but I have felt like it a few times. I'm 17 but I've been crying for the past hour because I'm so scared that if I do have an infecfion it's in my blood stream. My mom offered to take me to the ER but because of my awful anxiety I'm even scared to go there.

Please help, what should I do?
