Does it take some time to get used to a permanent crown from dental implant?

I had a dental implant for one missing front tooth in the upper jaw. Everything went well until I got my temp crown and then my permanent crown. The problem is that I always use my tongue to touch the  back of my crown, and it feels so weird. (probably it's because I had used denture for 20 years before the implant, so I might not be used to a tooth there.) As a result of always touching the back of my crown, my gum feels so tired. I don't know whether I can eventually get used to the new crown and feel it as if it were my real tooth. thanks.

Hi bro......................
It really feels very bad that you are in problem with your permanent crown. Some weeks my brother also face some this type of problems. For this purpose I search on the net and found a site which is really helpful to my brother. So I suggest you this site dentalimplantuk.co.uk. I think this can give you some solution for your problem. Please share your experience and reply.

Hi, thank you for your response. Actually I only got my permanent crown for two days, so I suppose it does take more time to get used to it. Its back is quite smooth, unlike that of the temporary crown, which is quite rough. I complained about it to my dentist when I had the temp crown, and he assured me that the permanent one would be much better. And it really turned out to be better, but I still use my tongue to touch the back all the time, especially the part under the gum line, it feels like my tongue is touching sth like a lump. (I don't think the crown is bulky, and I believe the dentist has done his best.) Sometimes I wish I could take it off, so that my gum can get some rest, just as what I did with my denture.  Hope as time goes by, I can really get used to it. Thank you again for your response, which really made me feel better. :)
