External root reabsorption

It was discovered incidentally a little over a year ago that I had four teeth with external root reabsorption. I have never had an injury or orthodontics and I have very healthy teeth with no dental work. I went back after having four implants and during routine follow-up they found that another tooth was affected. Another implant was placed and when I went back to get my stitches out  they found two more teeth, I am up to 8 teeth now with no known cause. I have had blood work done and bone scans all coming back to normal. I am desperate to find a cause and a way to somehow stop this. Does anyone have any experience with this?
