Just on the topic of periodontal disease left untreated even for 7 months, would it have any affect on the condition at all?

I wasn't aware that it could cause other major health problems also.

Is there no doubt to expect any form of worsening if you leave it untreated?

Thanks kindly

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
The exact treatment can be determined only after a complete dental examination and work up.In periodontitis, the alveolar bone around the teeth is lost slowly. Microorganisms like bacteria, stick to the surface of the tooth and multiply .If left untreated this condition can result in tooth loss. It also enhances the risk of stroke, heart attack and other health problems. Antibiotic mouth rinses, gels and oral antibiotics may be helpful in mild cases. In severe cases flap surgery and bone and tissue grafts may be necessary. Gum disease is the main cause of gum recession. The exact treatment can be decided only by a periodontist.Seek an early appointment and get evaluated. Keep me posted.
Best luck and regards!
