I have a 5 year old that has a red bump on her gum above her front tooth.

Also the above the bump the gums close to the lip around the crease look darker red.  She says it doesn't hurt,  but she may be fibbing.  My husband noticed it about 3 days ago for the first time.  We are 2 times a day brushers.  The majority of the time either dad or I do the brushing to make sure she gets a clean mouth.  She had a happy visit about a year ago.  She had an appt recently but we got to the office only to be told they don't take insurance anymore.  So,  I will have to find a new dentist.  I'm quite a worried mom,  and it is the weekend and we recently have no dentist.  So,  I'm worried about waiting till Monday.

I have a 4 year old, who when he first started to get his teeth in, I would try my best to clean them (he was in and out of the hospital a lot) I was brushing his upper front 2 teth, as he had some others not amny more but some, and her would scream bloody murder. I also noticed a little cavity starting and he went straight to our dentist(EX now) and he said that he had baby bottle rot that he had to go lse where. so I brought him to another one this time it was a pediatric one. I told him what was gong on with Christopher and he said lets look. he took his little mirror and looked at the roof of his mouth and ordered xrays (yes he did ahve a cavity) he also had a huge lump on his roof of his mouth. he said it was an abscess and that it needs to be dealt with. Chris lost his 4 upper teeth due to the abscess(they think it was from one of the times he was on a ventalator and that is why he wouldn't let us brush his teeth. I would give her dentist a call first thing monday morning.
good luck with her mouth
