I have bumps and skin loss on my tongue

I have red patched generally on the right side of my tongue. Some of the patches are very smooth and others have some bumps on them, almost as if they are inflamed taste buds. There is no pain but I am a teen and I am very self conscious about this. I do have pictures if it helps to diagnose my problem added below. I would also like to know if there is any sort of treatment for this and can anyone give me any advice?

Seeing an oral pathologist or oral surgeon to have a visual exam is advised.
