Ill Mother With Abscess Tooth EMERGENCY

My mother started having moderate pain in a tooth 2 days ago. Yesterday the pain worsened slightly and her face started to swell. This morning her face was noticeably swollen and she was in severe pain. I took her to the e.r. and they gave her a penicillin shot, prescribed her more penicillin and pain killers, and sent her home. About 4 hours later, her face had become about 3 times bigger than it was this morning. She obviously has an abscess tooth and since she has other health issues i am quite concerned that this infection could make her very ill or worse. Her right side of her face is so swollen right now that her right eye is swollen shut, her nose is swollen (the right side of her nasal cavity is closing up), and she has been complaining she is having a hard time breathing and swallowing so now I am concerned the swelling is closing her throat. She does not have a dentist and only has medicaid. I am having trouble finding a dentist in my area that will see her. It is friday evening now and Im very worried about the weekend and the possibility of this issue getting worse. What should I do? Should I take her back to the e.r. or to a different e.r.?? Can they extract the tooth if it is necessary? Please help!!

With an abcessed tooth novacaine won't work and they'll have to put your mother to sleep to remove the tooth.

You're mother needs to go back to the ER ASAP!  This appears to be a raging infection and may need more treatment than she is getting.
