Immediate Dentures

One week ago I had 24 teeth extracted and an immediate denture put in. By the way I'm only 24 years old. I had some complications with my lower molars when she was extracting them, but also feel as if in doing good with healing so far. However I have a large long soft but hard(if that makes sense) bump on my lower inside jaw. I know it's not a bone site or anything like that, I have had that many times before and it is nothing like this. Also I have a foul taste in my mouth and was wondering if being a week in , am I supposed to leave them it at night? Any help would be amazing!

Normally when dentures are put in the same day as the extractions, they want you to leave them in and go back to the dentist for the first time they are removed so they can see how your gums are healing.  I would call your dentist about what your experiencing and go from there.  The foul taste in your mouth is most likely from the gums and everything underneath the denture that needs to be cleaned out...another reason to see your dentist when you first remove them.  Definitely call your dentist about the swelling. Hope this helps.

She looked at it and said my denture had rubbed my jaw raw, she adjusted the denture and it feels so much better! Now just got to let it heal. Even though it's only been a week she says my mouth looks like it's been healing for a month..that..getting easier to deal with.

i have that bony growth on both sides under my lower inside jaw. my dentist just examined them a week ago and said they are normal. my tongue likes to push on them a lot, sometimes they feel raw or a scraped, but i think it is due to my partial, i have one missing tooth. i wear the partial all night and keep it out all day, just to keep the teeth from shifting.
