Need Advise

Thank you for taking my question.  I have been plaqued with bad teeth due to dry mouth.I have a heart condition. No one would touch me but did find young prostodontist who is willing to help. Lots of $$$. The past 7 weeks, I had r/c's on #6,27,28.(Endo DDS) Oral surgeon pulled #25,11,5. Got a dry socket in 11. )-:  I also had crown lengthening on #6, 26, 27 and 28.(perio dds) I am tired. I also have missing #12, 13, 14 and 15 and 4,29 and 30. No. 26 is compromised by a bad endodontist who could not get thru calcification and cracked the tooth. I am wearing ill fitted flippers for the upper and one with tooth #25 in it until perms can be made.

Protodontist wants #6,7,8,9,and 10 crowned (porc) I love my front teeth. Can veneers work just as well. There are some old fillings in 8, 9 and wonder if these would be bad for vaneers. I hate having front teeth whittled for crowns.  He wants  Implant in #5 area and one in #11 area but 11 is not healing well and time is running out. (moving) I am happy if some sort of atooth was in 11 area and forget 12, 13, and 14.

If I chose not to have implant in 11 area, can he hook a false tooth that is attached somehow to 10? Would a veneer on 10 supposrt a small partial with one tooth?

They also want implant in 29-30 area to hold partial for tooth 25. I wish there was an easier way as implants are costly and one never knows if they will work. What are your thoughts on implants?

Am on Plavix and every time I see a DDS I take amoxcillan and this med is causing feet/ankle swelling.  I do not need the cadillac and want this ended soon.

These are questions for your dentist/prosthodontist.  There are many ways to approach each case but ultimately the decision is yours based on the recommendations given to you.  Good Luck.

it sounds like you've alreasdy consented to and gotten well onto an involved and expensive treatment plan. If your feelings have changed, you need to discuss them with the prosthodontist to see if your treatment plan can be expediated and simplified,  although to me it sounds like the worst may already be behind you--you've already done alot.
