It is quite common to feel sore and uncomfortable after have work done on teeth.
If it does seem as if it is settling down after a few days, then it would be wise to see the dentist again. Give it about a week.
I have never had any problems with white fillings or Cerek fillings and crowns.
There is evidence that people can have problems with the old mercury fillings and when they start to decay and the mercury starts to leak.
It is likely that because you had an injection into the site of the jaw and also being in the dentist chair for quite some time has caused you this problem. Sometimes though the dentist can get too close to the root and that can cause a problem with discomfort and pain, but will settle down in time.
Best wishes.
If the pain persists, consult your dentist asap! Just to cross check and make sure everything is fit and fine and if its normal to have pain! I had some pain after I got my dental implant done. Consulted my dentist and got it solved.
Thankyou has been very helpful, the pain has gone i just have swelling on inside of cheek.
Thankyou again
Hello,
It t is normal to experience jaw pain and other effects after a filling. However this pain usually does not last long and you can take some over-the-counter pain killers. Other causes could be either the restoration is too high causing excessive pressure on that tooth. It is possible to have some sensitivity from the white composite filling chemicals used .If the symptoms are severe and persistent see your dentist and get evaluated. I hope you find this information useful.
Best luck and regards!
