This isn't so much a question but a follow-up of previous posts from 3 years ago regarding post wisdom tooth removal paresthesia (altered sensation) of my chin/bottom lip/bottom gums. I'm now 4 years post wisdom tooth removal and still have the paresthesia, although I believe it has diminished somewhat. Or maybe since it's been 4 years, I've just become used to it. I typically have absolutely no hope at regaining feeling at this point. I've heard that 3 years is the max to expect any new feeling. However, I still occasionally get the shock sensation and I recently got a new transference of sensation (when I push hard against my bottom gums right under my teeth, I get a sensation on my bottom lip). So maybe there is still hope? Are there any other long term paresthesia sufferers out there? Anyone get feeling back after 4 years? And to any other sufferers out there, in my case, time has made it easier to deal with. I'm thankful I'm no longer dealing with the pain of the early days.
