I am just going to start at the very beginning......
About a year ago (maybe more, I don't know), I got really sick with some sort of flu/virus, and not only did it attack me in the more normal ways, but it also attacked my tongue. My tongue got these bright red welps on it, and it was covered it white except for the welps. It also affected the roof of my mouth, and I could not eat ANYthing while I was sick. On a scale of 1 to 10, the pain was an 8.5.
As I started to get better, my tongue got better-but never all the way. Ever since then, my tongue is always covered in white in the mornings before I brush my teeth. It is also sensitive to: ketchup, marinara, salsa, ANYthing spicy except black pepper, mustard, pizza, some marinades, ranch dressing, chips (even plain), really salty foods--- just basically ANYthing that is not completely bland. I have to gulp water constantly while eating to soothe my tongue. About 2 weeks ago, I fasted for about 3 days, and ALL my tongue symptoms were eliminated. This leads me to believe it is something I'm eating?
Just a side note: I attributed the white in my mouth to a yeast infection, or thrush, and took a product called Candida Cleanse for a while. I thought I might have a yeast overgrowth in my body because it seems like I will start to get a yeast infection for a day, and then it will go away without treatment(about once a month). I went to a doctor once for it (I am a more holistic person, so I try to avoid medication), and she though I had a vitamin B deficiency. She checked my blood, and I did not.
I am a 22 yr old white female, height and weight proportionate. No known illnesses and no medications. No drugs, no smoking, frequent alcohol consumption.
PLEASE help!
