Roof of mouth problem

Hello,

About a month ago, I began noticing some pain in the hard palate area in the roof of my mouth. It is about halfway between my teeth and the very top of the roof of my mouth.  Later in the day, a little bump will appear that usually is not there in the morning.  There is some very minor swelling and a burning sensation in the area.  I can eat certain foods that will intensify the symptoms. What do you think?  Thanks!

Sorry.  Kinda stumped.  Probably good idea to go see your dentist and find out what it is.

There is slight swelling all of the time.  The swelling increases with certain foods.  These are foods that I have eaten my entire life.  I usually always eat organic produce.  I have also been waking up several times per night with a very dry mouth.  I have also had dry eyes over the last few years.  I take OTC eye drops daily. Thanks!

I was initially thinking it may be a food allergy or trauma.  It may be a good idea to see a dentist and get it checked out.  There doesn't seem to be a consistent pattern to how it appears or disappears.  Is the pain and swelling constant or does it disappear during the day?

The latest foods to cause problems were a tuna sandwich and later in the day, a glass of orange juice. Sometimes it will flare up randomly. Also, I have not noticed any discoloration in the area.

What kinds of food will intensify it?  Is it daily or does it occur randomly throughout the day?
