When I was 16 (14 years ago), I had trauma to my top right two incisors. Because of this I needed to have root canals in both teeth. After my teeth had time to re-attach and heal, I had top braces put on to straighten the teeth. As far as I am aware, I have always had sensitivity in these two teeth ever since. Usually it’s a dull ache, not super strong. Sometimes I feel nothing at all. Sometimes it’s more than a dull ache. Sometimes the discomfort occurs when the weather changes (like a bad knee or something like that). Most of the time, I’m just aware the teeth are there, as in, there is at least a little bit of some kind of sensation. Most people don’t notice their teeth, if they’re healthy teeth.
Every time I go to the dentist and get x-rays, I’m told they look wonderful.
I’ve been told by orthodontists that due to their trauma, the two teeth may be fused to the bone, and they will likely not move if trying to re-straighten them.
I’m wondering if I should be worried that there’s something wrong with them that’s more serious than minor discomfort here and there?
