Soft palate lesion--Is this an aphthous ulcer?

http://new.photos.yahoo.com/millsandbrooks

I've developed a lesion on my soft palate.  It's white and surrounded by red inflammation.  Is this an aphthous ulcer?  I've linked to some photos of it.

I can't seem to bring up the photo. My suggestion is if the sore does not healo in 7 to 10 days either see your dentist or an oral surgeon.

looks like an apthous ulcer to me. i'd have it checked by a peiordontist or oral surgeon if it does not go away in 10-14 days, or if it gets worse or if you get a fever or swelling.
