Swollen glands and wisdom tooth

I really think that my wisdom tooth is the cause of my swollen gland.

The right tooth has slight pain on the underside jaw and the gland on the same side is swollen.

Is this normal? Are there any ways I can reduce pain?

Thanks.

When my lower wisdom tooth and surrounding gum was sore a few years ago I had swollen glands and a sore throat on the same side. I found ibuprofen worked best as it's an anti-inflammatory. Make sure you have something to eat before you take it though(even just a biscuit or piece of fruit)because taken on an empty stomach it can damage your stomach lining.
