TMJ disorder is very common these days. I think it is because we live such fast paced stressful lives. Some people clinch and or grind their teeth without being aware of it. If this is true in your case and the headaches return, a mouth guard would be a good idea.
Actually the main problem I experienced due this were the headaches near the temple region for over a week. After taking the muscle relaxants which my dentist gave me I am feeling better with respect to both my TMJ pain and headaches. My dentist also said in my case the TMJ disorder is not too severe so he recommended me undergo the wisdom teeth removal only if the problem gets too difficult to manage. Thank you Dr.Sharma.
