TMJ jaw pain

Hello,

For the part 2 weeks, I have been experiening pain when I open my mouth wide on the right side.  The pain is right in front of my ear (upper jaw area).  The pain is not there when I talk, chew, laugh..etc.  Only when I open wide like to brush my teeth, or bite down on an apple...etc.

I don't hear any popping, clicking when I chew, talk o laugh.  I am really worried to if I am developing an issue with my TMJ joint? Or something else all together.

Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated!

Regards

If TMJ: Get a mouth guard so you don't grind while you sleep.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
I think the pain is associated with the TMJ and I would consider finding a dentist that specializes in TMJ dysfunction.
