I went to a dentist to extract my "upper right back" tooth. The extraction was incomplete. The dentist told me that he could not remove as the tip(root) is very close to the jaw. Is it safe to leave it as it is? And how long?
it is sometimes safer not to remove apical 1/3 of broken root of upper molar, because such attempt sometimes pushes the root fragment into maxillary sinus, that can be dangerous can lead to formation of oro antral fistula,so such root tip is usually left behind as such it will resorb later on
Tooth extraction is not as such painful procedure. If your Dentist decides that you need extraction, I suggest you better do it to avoid further complication.
If you suffer from frequent headaches, jaw clicking and popping ear pain, you may have TMJ. Top dentist Hamidreza Nassery, DMD, has the best TMJ treatments for you.
