Ps. Do not use a heat pack, this will make the infection worse, therefore making the pain worse.
You can use a cold compress, you should find some relief from this.
You need to go and see the Dentist. If you cannot get an appointment with your regular Dentist within the next 48 hours then I would recommend contacting the emergency Dentist.
This sounds as though you have an infection present. Possibly an abcess.
Painkillers will not work to get rid of the pain. The tooth needs treating.
Possibly with a course of antibiotics.
Hope this has helped
Im sorry to hear you are having this kind of pain. I know this all to well. I to had a horrible tooth ache while pregnant. I think this may be a question for your ob. You more than likely have an infection. Tooth infections can be very dangerous while pregnant. The infection can spread to your blood steam and harm the developing baby. Also you may require a few day hospital stay to recieve IV antibiotics (I did). You definitley need to see a dentist and also make your ob aware of this. Allthough a tooth ache is very painful it is not safe to take any medications with out your docs approval while pregnant. Contact your ob and dentist immediatly and in the mean time tylenol is safe for exspecting mothers. You also may try holding a cold ice pack or a heating pad to the swollen area to help with the pain. I sincerley hope you feel better soon and wish you the best of luck with your pregnancy. Dayna
You need an antibiotic, you have an infection and this needs to be addressed ASAP! Paracetomol is not safe to take while pregnant. Your dentist or OB-GYN should be able to prescribe antibiotics and pain medications that are safe for the babies. Please don't wait on this.
