What is this???

I noticed a red spot inside my mouth tonight. I think its a canker forming but want a second opinion and I don't have dental insurance.

I've had cankers before. I've been drinking two glasses of OJ to get extra Vitamin C the last few days and had some tomatoes too which I read causes cankers. Usually though my cankers look white. I've never seen this red spot before. Maybe this is just the beginning of one?!?

Here's a pic:

There's no other spots or bumps in my mouth.

Thanks you.

Looks like trauma.  It is on your occlusal plane (where you bite; where your teeth come together) and the most common place to see that.  It will go away in less than a week.  If it doesn't go away in a week to 10 days, then go see your dentist.  It is nothing serious because that would be a rare place to find anything serious.
