Why is there a lot of pressure in my lower canine?

For the past few days, the pressure in my left lower canine has been getting worse. It has been off and on for a while, but very subtle. Pressing on the tooth makes the pressure worse. The tooth is a bit crooked, but so is the one right above it and that one does not hurt. I have no cavities and the tooth is fine via my dentist. I ended up getting some nasty desensitizing drops on my tooth. It is not helping much though. I am starting to think that my allergies and clenching are the problem because my face is a bit sore and I catch myself clenching during the day. Also, I wake up with welts in my cheeks and the taste of blood. What do you think? What can I do to help?

Your descriptions suggest non-odontogenic toothache. Seeing an orofacial pain specialist is advised.
