I have a tooth growing in the roof of my mouth. What do I do?

I am 11 years old and I have a tooth growing on the roof of my mouth. They are two of them. One of them is beside another tooth and the other is above that right in the roof of my mouth. The tooth that is right on top of the roof of my mouth is just growing and it is becoming painful. The other has been there since I was about 9 or 10 years old. My mom says that I will need sugery and they will have to put me to sleep. I'm very scared and nervous. Can you tell me what will have to happen. I have to go to the  dentist on the 15th. of October. So if you don't get back to me by then I will just ask my dentist. Thank You for hepling me.
