bleeding gum

I have a question about bleeding gum after I brush. Is this a big wound or a superficial wound and how long does it take to heal and stop bleeding presuming it is minor bleeding. Also is scope a good mouth wash to control the problem .

Thanks

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
HI,
Bleeding gums can be because of deficiency of vitamins especially vitamin C. Also poor oral hygiene, infection in the gums can cause bleeding. Hence gentle brushing, use of mouth washes and taking of supplements of vitamin C and multi-vitamins will help. Consult your Doctor. Hope this helps.
Take care and good luck.
