Forgive me for asking so many questions, but getting only partial info it can be difficult to determine what is going on..,

Was there a restoration done on this visit?
Is this the tooth you said had a "cavity"?
Was there any mention of any perio pockets > 3mm?
Do you have a history of bruxism?
Was a night guard recommended?
Was there an excessive amount of calculus aka tartar?

Thanks
Pat

ok,my teeth are in great condition, one cavity in my whole mouth in the back.i get my teeth cleaned every 6 months,i went to a new hygentist my old one left,i left there feeling sensitive and my bite felt off!!!!!!!! i had extreme pain in my left jaw by my ear,he said it could be tmj,i waited took advil that went away, now it has been 5 weeks and i have a burny tingly aching in my 3 teeth on the right side in the front,i went back he said since there are no cavitys in those teeth it could be an infection, told me to use baking soda and peroxide for a week if that doesnt work,i could have an abcess!!!!!!!!!! my bite is still off but i dont have jaw pain. I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS BEFORE UNTIL I GOT MY TEETH CLEANED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this to me is unbelievable,i thought maybe she damaged my nerves doing something wrong? maybe the tools weren't clean or i picked up something? i have no idea,ANYTHING THAT CAN HELP WOULD BE SOOOOOO HELPFUL!!!!!!!!!i go back in a week to get x rayed he wanted to wait because he did not want to take to soon so the abcess would show!!!!!!!! i am just sick over this!!!!!!!

Can you give more info?  How long had it been since last exam and cleaning?  Do you floss daily?  Were your gums bleeding before the cleaning that alerted you there may be a problem?  Do you have a history of perio disease?  How long ago was the cleaning performed?

Is this just curiosity?  How do you know for certain the instruments were non-sterile?
