hard bump on roof of mouth

I just noticed this last week. Don't know how long it's been there. Anyway it has me alarmed. I have been on two antibiotics the last 10 days to try and eradicate h pylori. If it was some kind of infection these strong antibiotics should have taken it away, right? It's the same color as my palate and its hard but only painful if you push on it. What could this be? I'm trying to get over this stomach bacteria, and now this! I'm scared.

You should probably get it checked out by a dentist.  It may be an abscess although you're right, antibiotics would probably help to keep it controlled but there are many different types of antibiotics and each one works better for particular types of bacteria in the body.

My guess though, is that its a maxillary tori, which is just excess bone and probably has been there your whole life and you just never noticed it.  But I can't confirm it over the internet.  Would recommend you get it verified in case its something else.

You probably have an infection. I remember my baby brother bumped his mouth on our corridor. He hit it so hard, his two front tooth swell. Maybe you need to have it checked. Good luck

Thank you Dr Tsang. I will mention it to my Dr. I'm really scared it's cancer.

The bump feels to be about the size of a pea in diameter. It's right next to the strip the goes from front to back and is about the same height as that ridge. It's a little sore if you push on it towards the back part almost near where the softer area is beyond your hard palate. Could this be irritated from the one strong antibiotic biaxin? Cause after I take that pill I can taste it towards the back of my upper mouth. I'm frightened! I am just trying to get better and now this. :( Please help!!!!
