Tooth #19 has 2 or 3 roots. Mesial root is the common one that presents periapical pathology. If redo root canal or periapical surgery is not feasible, which means one root is hopeless, root amputation is the treatment of choice. The procedure is much easier than periapical surgery, and post op pain is minimal.
Thank you for responding. but root amputation! I'm not gona lie that sounds scary!
