infection

Hi, I need some advise regarding my teeth.
I had a root canal done on my tooth 19th maybe about 3 years ago.
2 years ago my gum swelled because of pus & infection therefore the dentist did another root canal to remove the infection. I found out last sep. that there's some infection underneath that same tooth again, but
because of some complication with insurance i didn't do anything about it till now. This time there's no swelling or pain or any sort of discomfort. Now I'm trying to make an appointment with an edodontist. but now i'm so worried to hear about jaw infection or tooth removal! one of the reasons that i neglect to seek a Dr was the fear of loosing my tooth.
I'm 20 years old and I have always had problems (cavity) with my teeth. I believe i have 4 root canals done on my teeth so far! i don't know what to do. I brush 2 times a day and i always floss

Tooth #19 has 2 or 3 roots. Mesial root is the common one that presents periapical pathology.If redo root canal or periapical surgery is not feasible, which means one root is hopeless, root amputation is the treatment of choice. The procedure is much easier than periapical surgery, and post op pain is minimal.

Thank you for responding. but root amputation! I'm not gona lie that sounds scary!
would you explain that a bit? Is it done out side of the mouth?
