is this normal?

I feel as though my front tooth has moved forward on its own. but yet my teeth beside it still have spaces between them so those teeth did not push it. Can teeth just move on their own?

Is it common for a dentist to tell you it's must that you get your tooth pulled because of bone loss, instead of trying to save the tooth.

it will most likely keep moving in the same direction. The cause is probably your bite, periodontal involvement (bone loss) or both. You should see an orthodontist or a periodontist to get you on the way towards addressing the problem.

Yes, they can.  They can shift for a variety of reasons.  I had a tooth shift forward a bit due to a cyst on the root.
