pain after surgical extraction

i know im supposed to have some kinda of pain after ..today is the 3rd day and i dont think im feeling pain in the extraction site but more of the cheeks....maybe where the needles went....soooo sore and it feels swollen still..when i smile feels like there is cotton stuffed in my cheeks...lol....also when he gave  me a few shots when the needle was injected i heard a crunching noise..does that sound normal at all?......i dunno im hoping for the best !....thanks!

yes yes yes when it was still swollen thats what i hears some kinda chrunching sound.... i kept saying but but people looked at me like i was stupid!..... today is day # 5 and they pain isnt as bad ( i dont think these meds got me messed up) but is still sore... i dont know if the stitches are bothering me or what. its not a huge pain kinda just annoying but i can see that the hole is still kinda open so its still expected!!.......also the line of my bottom jaw seems like there is bone, jaw bone, something the normal, but when i get to the area where the tooth was taken out it indents and there is nothing there..... is that normal??....i can feel with my finger bone...bone...bone....then no bone ( indented into my jaw)........i go back in 2 days to get stitches out.....hopefully they say all is well.....

When you push on the swollen area, do you hear a crackling noise (like rice krispies)?
