chest pain after extraction was started.
hi.. I have tooth abscess from about 2 weeks and I took antibiotics and then finally removed my tooth but the pain is presistent I don't feel any change or improvement. I can't endure the pain plz help me I live on pain killers especially voltarine!!!
It can be a dry socket and should be looked at by the dentist.
if you are still having pain then check to make sure it is not "dry socket". A condition in which the clot becomes dislodged and the bone is exposed. This is most common 24-28 hours after an extraction. I would go to the surgeon and get that evaluated. There should be no charge for a post-op visit.
I had a tooth extracted not to long ago and it took a couple weeks before i didn't feel any pain or discomfort, the vicodin should work, i was only taking half of a vicodin when i would feel pain and that alone worked for me.
give it time. My fiance is in dental school and has patients all the time who take longer to heal. Some dentists will give stronger pain meds if there is something wrong. You'll have to go in to be seen so they can determine whether there is something else wrong or if it's just still healing. However for a regular tooth extraction i highly doubt they will give you anyththing stronger. try sensodyne. anything numbing. Don't chew on that side.
It is possible that there is a dry socket and this should be investigated by the dentist.
